Vitamin K is a fat soluble vitamin that is mainly known for being a blood clotting factor. It does have other functions though; specifically does it work in conjunction with Vitamin D to ensure a healthy calcium metabolism that leads to healthy bones. That is why it is frequently recommended to be taken together with Vitamin D.
